Softball Recap: Campbellsville Eagles vs. Nelson County Cardinals
Campbellsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 10-7 to the Nelson County Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Campbellsville of the 10-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March.
Madeline Call made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Miley Hash, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Campbellsville's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Nelson County, their win bumped their record up to 12-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Campbellsville will challenge Hart County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Nelson County, they will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Marion County at 6:00 p.m.
