Softball Recap: Adair County Indians vs. Caverna Colonels

Adair County barely beat Caverna the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians never let the Colonels get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Colonels: they've now won five in a row.

Not much got past Keylin Bergin, who gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Caverna off the board. Bergin has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 20 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Trinity Hancock was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Braylee Corbin, who went 1-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Adair County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Caverna only managed three.
