Softball Recap: West Orange Comes Up Short

West Orange was the 13-8 winner over Olympia when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors took a 13-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans on Friday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cali Flowers was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5. Ryan Caulkins was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.

West Orange's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Olympia, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Orange will venture away from home to face off against Cypress Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 10.2 runs per game this season. As for Olympia, they will head out to take on East Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season.
