Basketball Recap: North Star's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

North Star put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Box Elder Bears by a score of 52-45. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 34-29 loss the last time these two teams met.

Box Elder's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Shareece Raining Bird, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 boards, and Martay Stiffarm-Rosette, who posted 17 points. Stiffarm-Rosette's afternoon made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Kise Seaton was another key player, putting up ten points.

North Star's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Box Elder, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Star will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Fort Benton at 5:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Box Elder also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Hays-Lodge Pole at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
