Football Game Preview: North Beach vs. South Bend

South Bend have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. It will be a battle of North versus South on Friday as North Beach square off against South Bend at 7:00 PM. The teams both have had a rocky road up to this point with five consecutive losses for South Bend and eight for North Beach.

It was a hard-fought game, but South Bend had to settle for a 20-28 loss against Chief Leschi two weeks ago. A silver lining for South Bend was the play of senior Drew Rose, who picked up 93 yards on the ground and threw 2 TDs. In fact, with 11 tackles Rose was a force on both sides of the ball.

Meanwhile, North Beach might have drawn first blood against Chief Leschi last Friday, but it was Chief Leschi who got the last laugh. North Beach were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 14-20 to Chief Leschi.

South Bend simply couldn't be stopped the last time the two teams met, as they easily beat North Beach 47-0. Will South Bend repeat their success, or does North Beach have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
