Recap: Hun Raiders vs. Blair Academy Bucs
On Tuesday, the Hun Raiders faced the Blair Academy Bucs in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Hun was dealt a 88-40 loss at the hands of Blair Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Hun has suffered yet this season.
Hun's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabby D'Agostino, who scored 17 points. That was a full 42.5% of Hun's points, marking the tenth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was CeeJay Thomas, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Hun has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Blair Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.
Hun will be playing at home against Hill School at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Hill School is ranked 17th in Pennsylvania, while Hun is ranked 11th in New Jersey). As for Blair Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Lawrenceville School at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lawrenceville School is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
