Volleyball Recap: Eugene's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Eugene came into Thursday's match having lost ten straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on the New Bloomfield Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The Eagles not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 28th (when they won 3-0).

Eugene walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-16, 25-18, 25-13.

Lydia Hale paced Eugene's offense, picking up six kills. Hale got some help from Kebrina Hugen and her 13 assists. Hale was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Eugene's win bumped their record up to 3-12. As for New Bloomfield, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-12-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eugene will face off against Chamois at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for New Bloomfield, they will square off against Tipton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
