Softball Recap: Stayton's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Stayton has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.7 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sweet Home Huskies. Surprisingly, this marked the Eagles' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Stayton's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-8. As for Sweet Home, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-8.

Looking ahead, Stayton will square off against Marist at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Spartans have now posted at least ten runs in their last ten games. Sweet Home does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
