Volleyball Recap: Crossroads' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

It was a good run, but Crossroads unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Windward Wildcats by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Roadrunners of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Crossroads sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 23-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-11.

Crossroads' defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Windward, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Crossroads and Windward should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Crossroads will face off against Campbell Hall at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday up 477 places (223 vs. 700). Similarly, Windward (ranked 35th) will meet Notre Dame (SO) (ranked 134th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
