            Baseball Preview: Oak Grove Grizzlies vs. Northwest Guilford Vikings        
        
		
        
        
            The Oak Grove Grizzlies will face off against the Northwest Guilford Vikings at 5:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Given that  the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  matchup.
Oak Grove blew Ledford out of the water the last time the pair played, but  on Friday Ledford got their revenge. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Panthers by a score of  6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  loss the Grizzlies have suffered  since March 11th.
 Cam Sharpe was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out six over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with one  RBI.

 In other batting news,  Kaden Hart made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3. He also  launched a  home run, which is notable because Oak Grove is 4-1 when he posts  at  least  one  home run, but 4-6 otherwise.  Addison Terry was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  double.
Meanwhile, Northwest Guilford fought the good fight in their extra-innings  game against Ragsdale  on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took  a  7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.
 Northwest Guilford saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Nic Turner, who  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
 Oak Grove has  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record  this season. As for Northwest Guilford, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
