Volleyball Recap: Lakeside Knights vs. Lincoln Leopards
Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lincoln Leopards. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Leopards earlier this season, when they won 2-0.
Lakeside started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-22, 25-19.
Marley McCoy paced Lakeside's offense, picking up five kills. McCoy got some help from Jaycee Remus and her eight assists. Remus also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Josie Bowles, racking up three apiece.
