Softball Recap: Horseshoe Bend Takes a Loss

Horseshoe Bend was the 26-16 winner over Idaho City when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs came up short against the Wildcats on Wednesday, falling 20-10. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Horseshoe Bend got a massive performance out of Jocelyn Hailey, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Harper Kennedy, who went 4-for-2 with three RBI and one triple.

Horseshoe Bend's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Idaho City, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Horseshoe Bend has already played their next game, a 0-0 victory against Rimrock on the 2nd. As for Idaho City, they will head out on the road to challenge Garden Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Wolverines have now posted at least ten runs in their last six matchups.
