Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Cole Valley Christian walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Preston Indians with a sharp 23-1 victory on Thursday. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Lola Crosby was a standout: she fired off two home runs, three stolen bases, and seven RBI while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Abbie English, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs.

Cole Valley Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .423 or higher in three consecutive games.

Cole Valley Christian's win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Preston, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-12.

As of now, neither Cole Valley Christian nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
