Football Preview: North Hall Trojans vs. Pickens Dragons

North Hall has been away from home for two games now, but on Friday they'll finally make their return. They will welcome the Pickens Dragons at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, North Hall didn't have too much trouble with White County on the road as they won 35-21. That's two games straight that the Trojans have won by exactly 14 points.

Smith Mcgarvey was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 59 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Parker Carlton was another key player, rushing for 134 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries.

He was just one part of a punishing run game: North Hall was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 429 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're rushing yard total in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pickens). They walked away with a 35-23 victory over Dawson County on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

North Hall now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Pickens, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.
