Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boulder). Their defense stepped up to hand the Mountain Range Mustangs an 8-0 shutout on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what Boulder needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Their offense was hitting Mountain Range from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Zoe Silver led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Boulder pushed their record up to 7-1-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six contests. As for Mountain Range, they moved to 7-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Boulder has already played their next game, a 10-0 win against Northglenn on the 17th. As for Mountain Range, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Riverdale Ridge at 6:00 p.m. Riverdale Ridge will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Mountain Range surely won't give up without a fight.
