Baseball Game Preview: Chartiers Valley Colts vs. Peters Township Indians

The Chartiers Valley Colts will head out to challenge the Peters Township Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Chartiers Valley fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against South Fayette on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jake Federouch was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Peters Township didn't have quite enough to beat Bullitt East on Friday and fell 7-6.

Chartiers Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Peters Township, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2.

Chartiers Valley skirted past Peters Township 3-1 when the teams last played back in March of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
