The Prestonwood Christian Lions's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Southwest Christian School Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. Hopefully Prestonwood Christian is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Southwest Christian School in Texas (Prestonwood Christian is ranked 114th, while Southwest Christian School is ranked 326th).
Even though Prestonwood Christian has not done well against Bishop Lynch recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Prestonwood Christian managed a 45-41 win over Bishop Lynch.
Prestonwood Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Allie Swindell led the charge by scoring 11 points along with five rebounds. The contest was Swindell's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Londyn Oliphant, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Southwest Christian School took their contest on the road last Saturday with ease, bagging a 56-25 win over Legacy Christian Academy. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Southwest Christian School has managed all season.
Prestonwood Christian's victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Southwest Christian School, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
