Baseball Recap: Rumson-Fair Haven Wins Going Away Against Red Bank Regional

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Manasquan, Rumson-Fair Haven was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Red Bank Regional Bucs. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 5-0 victory the Bucs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Brady Williams tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, Rumson-Fair Haven let DJ Ylagan and Parker Shenman run wild. Ylagan went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI, while Shenman went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four RBI gave Ylagan a new career-high. Aiden Dill also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

The win got Rumson-Fair Haven back to even at 6-6-1. As for Red Bank Regional, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rumson-Fair Haven will square off against Marlboro at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Red Bank Regional, they will take on Lacey Township at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
