Hinton is 10-0 against Akron-Westfield since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Hinton Blackhawks will get right back to it and host the Akron-Westfield Westerners at 7:30 p.m. Hinton is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

On Monday, Hinton beat Woodbury Central 65-57. Given the Blackhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 51st, while the Wildcats are ranked 236th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Akron-Westfield). They came out on top against Trinity Christian by a score of 53-45 back in December of 2024. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Hinton pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Akron-Westfield, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Hinton took their victory against Akron-Westfield in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 83-61. Will Hinton repeat their success, or does Akron-Westfield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
