Softball Recap: Glidden-Ralston's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Glidden-Ralston waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Ar-We-Va Rockets a 9-0 shutout. Considering the Wildcats have won four contests by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Glidden-Ralston pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Ar-We-Va, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coincidentally, Glidden-Ralston and Ar-We-Va will both be playing Boyer Valley the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will head out to face the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Rockets will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
