Basketball Recap: Sturgis Brown Takes a Loss

Sturgis Brown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 64-60 heartbreaker at the hands of the Spearfish Spartans. The Scoopers were not able to make up for their loss to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Sturgis Brown's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Spearfish, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Spearfish beat Sturgis Brown by a score of 64-60 on Tuesday.
