Volleyball Recap: Oakland-Craig's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Oakland-Craig had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They came out on top against the Wisner-Pilger Gators by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Oakland-Craig easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-11.

Their offense was headlined by Hilary Ray and Briar Ray, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Mia Thomsen and her 23 assists. Briar was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Oakland-Craig's win bumped their record up to 23-6. As for Wisner-Pilger, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-16.

Coming up, Oakland-Craig will take on Howells-Dodge at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wisner-Pilger, they will venture away from home to take on Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
