Baseball Game Preview: Glens Falls Black Bears vs. Amsterdam Rams

Glens Falls hasn't had much luck against Amsterdam recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Black Bears will take on the Rams at 4:30 p.m. Glens Falls will be strutting in after a win while Amsterdam will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, Glens Falls was able to grind out a solid victory over Johnsburg Central, taking the game 8-5.

Tevyn Owira was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Amsterdam and Johnstown meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Rams fell 11-7 to the Sir Bills.

Rhys Urbanczyk and Logan Miller stepped up to the plate in a big way. Urbanczyk scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Miller scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Glens Falls' win bumped their record up to 2-0-1. As for Amsterdam, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
