Softball Recap: Travelers Rest Comes Up Short

Travelers Rest lost to Westside back in April of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Devildogs lost 15-1 to the Rams. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Devildogs have suffered since March 13th.

Kathryn Tankersley made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Travelers Rest now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Westside, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-6.

Looking ahead, Travelers Rest will take on Daniel at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.7 runs per game on average), something the Devildogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Westside, they will challenge Fountain Inn at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Fury have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season.
