Recap: Harding Academy Lions vs. Evangelical Christian Eagles
The Harding Academy Lions won the last time they faced the Evangelical Christian Eagles, and things went their way on Friday too. Harding Academy escaped with a win against Evangelical Christian by the margin of a single free throw, 28-27. The win made it back-to-back wins for Harding Academy.
Harding Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabi Ruvalcaba, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Ruvalcaba is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Bella rose Austin was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Harding Academy now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Evangelical Christian, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
Harding Academy will head out on the road to take on First Assembly Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. First Assembly Christian will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Harding Academy surely won't give up without a fight. Evangelical Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
