Softball Recap: Springville Takes a Loss

After a string of three wins, Springville's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against the North Linn Lynx, falling 9-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Orioles of the 9-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2024.

Springville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for North Linn, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Springville is set to face off against their familiar foe Starmont at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, North Linn will take on rival Edgewood-Colesburg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lynx 3.9, the Vikings 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
