South River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 32-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dunellen Destroyers. One positive for the Rams, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Dunellen got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sophie Jimenez out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Fabiana Ames Castillo was another key player, putting up ten points and four steals.

South River's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Dunellen, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-14.

South River won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Sayreville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dunellen, they will face off against Brearley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
