Crestline lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Mansfield Christian, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's matchup. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Flames with a sharp 14-2 win on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their ten-game losing streak.

Crew Gaskill was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and only one walk). Gaskill was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Brayden Winemiller and Adam Burton did most of the damage at the plate: Winemiller went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Burton went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs Burton has posted since back in March. Kordaie Robinson was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Crestline always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .590. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Crestline's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-10. As for Mansfield Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Coming up, Crestline will challenge Mansfield Senior at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tygers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.58 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mansfield Christian, they will face off against Buckeye Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
