Baseball Game Preview: San Mateo Bearcats vs. El Camino Colts

For the second straight game, San Mateo will face off against El Camino. The Bearcats will face off against the Colts at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, San Mateo narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past El Camino 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bearcats.

Jesus Olivas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Christian Louie was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. Hayato Nishiyama was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

El Camino is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11. As for San Mateo, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
