Football Game Preview: Plainfield East Bengals vs. Joliet West Tigers + Official Tickets

Plainfield East hasn't had much luck against Joliet West recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bengals are taking a road trip to take on the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Neither Plainfield East nor Joliet West posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 42-7, which was the final score in Plainfield East's tilt against Plainfield North on Friday.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Joliet West took on Oswego on Friday. The Tigers had to suffer through a 48-6 loss at the hands of the Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the Panthers are ranked 19th).

Joliet West's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Plainfield East, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Plainfield East took a serious blow against Joliet West in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 42-14. Thankfully for the Bengals, Antoine Brooks (who threw for 235 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground) won't be suiting up this time.
