Football Recap: Lincoln Thorell's Menacing Defense Leads Wausa/Osmond over Stanton

After losing to Stanton the last time they met, Wausa/Osmond decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Wausa/Osmond enjoyed a cozy 30-14 victory over Stanton on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Wausa/Osmond.

Mac Carlson looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 103 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 90.9% of his passes, and also rushing for 30 yards. What's more, he posted two passing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in August of 2024.

Wausa/Osmond didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Lincoln Thorell.

Although Stanton took the loss, they still got scores from Taenen Ketelsen and Royce Hansen.

Wausa/Osmond's record is now 2-0. As for Stanton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Wausa/Osmond wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 54-14 win against Homer on the 12th. As for Stanton, they have also already played their next matchup, a 36-6 defeat against Central Valley on the 12th.
