Basketball Game Preview: Revere Minutemen vs. Highland Hornets

Revere hasn't had much luck against Highland recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Revere Minutemen will head out to take on the Highland Hornets at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row dating back to last season, Revere turned things around against Barberton on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 54-33 margin over the Magics. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Minutemen have posted since December 23, 2023.

Meanwhile, Highland put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 52-39 victory over Roosevelt. The 52-point effort marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Highland pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Revere, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Revere came up short against Highland when the teams last played back in January, falling 57-50. Can Revere avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
