League recap: Ballou rises, Spingarn falls in league standings

DCIAA league recap: 3/20/13

Ballou made the biggest jump in the standings this week, moving from 14th to third place in DCIAA thanks to a 1-0 record over the past seven days. Meanwhile, Spingarn fell hardest in the standings, dropping from fourth all the way to 11th place after going 0-0 in the past week. Woodson (1-0, 1-0) is now in first place.

This week saw the Warriors come away with the most league victories in the league, with one. Woodson beat Coolidge 1-0.

Anacostia's pitching staff had a strong showing this week, allowing only six hits and 13 walks, both of which led the league.

Alonzo Tabron led the Indians to a win on March 14, as he notched eight strikeouts to beat Washington Metro, 8-2. Over three innings of work, he gave up zero hits and two runs.
