Basketball Recap: Mercy Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Mercy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against Sacred Heart Academy on Monday, falling 59-39. The Tigers have struggled against Sacred Heart Academy recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meetings.

Mercy's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Sacred Heart Academy, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 19-1.

While Mercy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
