Basketball Recap: Timothy Alexander Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Shiloh

Creekside picked up another tournament win on Tuesday. They skirted past the Shiloh Generals 44-42. Those 44 points were actually the fewest the Seminoles have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Creekside got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Timothy Alexander out in front who went 5-for-7 en route to 11 points and five boards. Alexander has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played. Jacorey Lee was another key player, putting up eight points along with five assists and five rebounds.

Shiloh's loss came despite strong showings from Deon Mccoy and Noah Hawkins. Mccoy almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine boards, while Hawkins posted eight points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Trae McGrew, who put up eight points.

Creekside now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Shiloh, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Creekside will head out to square off against Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Seminoles will be up against the Jaguars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 70.75 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Shiloh, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Lakeside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Generals are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
