Basketball Game Preview: Elbert County Blue Devils vs. Banks County Leopards

Elbert County and Banks County are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Elbert County Blue Devils will host the Banks County Leopards at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Elbert County will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Stephens County, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Elbert County came out on top against Stephens County by a score of 86-75 on Tuesday.

Elbert County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dealyn Gray led the charge by going 9 of 13 on his way to 21 points along with six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Morrison, who posted 19 points and six assists.

Meanwhile, Banks County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 77-73 to Cherokee Bluff. The Leopards haven't had much luck with the Bears recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Banks County now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Elbert County, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
