Volleyball Recap: Allatoona Starts Season with Win at Home

Allatoona took care of business in their home opener on Thursday. They came out on top against the Adairsville Tigers by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Buccaneers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Allatoona was: they took both sets by at least 18 points. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-7.

Madi Heard paced Allatoona's offense, picking up nine kills. Heard got some help from Lk Lamonica and her 21 assists. Heard was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Coincidentally, Allatoona and Adairsville will both be playing Central the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Buccaneers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
