Basketball Recap: Hanover-Horton Takes a Loss

Hanover-Horton lost against Michigan Center back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hanover-Horton Comets lost 54-33 to the Michigan Center Cardinals. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Cardinals are ranked 44th).

Hanover-Horton's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Michigan Center, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season.

The future could be bright for both Hanover-Horton and Michigan Center: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Hanover-Horton will look to extend Clinton's three-game losing streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Michigan Center will try to hand Springport their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
