Basketball Recap: Leipsic Comes Up Short

Leipsic lost against Arlington back in February of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Leipsic Vikings had to suffer through a 62-29 loss at the hands of the Arlington Red Devils. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 438th, while the Red Devils are ranked 125th).

Leipsic's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Arlington, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leipsic won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Ottoville at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Ottoville will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Leipsic surely won't give up without a fight. As for Arlington, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Lincolnview at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
