Softball Recap: Aliceville Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Aliceville's offense. They came up short against the Lamar County Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 17-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Yellowjackets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Aliceville's loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lamar County, they moved to 1-4 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aliceville will welcome Tuscaloosa Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lamar County, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against South Lamar at 5:00 p.m.
