Spring-Ford had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They took down the Souderton Indians 31-14. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Indians are ranked 67th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Spring-Ford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jamal Lewis, who rushed for 82 yards and three touchdowns. Another passer making a difference was Matt Zollers, who threw for 252 yards and a touchdown while completing 81.8% of his passes.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Spring-Ford's defense and their four sacks. Taegan Tutrani was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up twohimself. Bryce Roberts was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing a fumble, and making nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Despite the loss, Souderton still got an impressive performance from Elijah Hampton, who picked up 57 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 64 yards on only five carries.

Spring-Ford will venture away from home to square off against Easton Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Souderton, they will welcome Central Bucks South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
