Loyal put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Gilman Pirates a 5-0 shutout. The Greyhounds' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three games.

Cain Toufar and Hunter Walter did most of the damage at the plate: Toufar got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, while Walter went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Toufar is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Loyal pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Gilman, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Loyal beat the Pirates by a score of 6-0 on Thursday.
