Basketball Recap: Sheldon Comes Up Short

Sheldon managed to slip by West Linn the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Sheldon Irish were dealt a 72-32 defeat at the hands of the West Linn Lions on Tuesday. The Irish were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.

West Linn's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaylor Buse, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine assists. Buse is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Reese Jordan, who shot 47% from the field on her way to 18 points along with seven assists and five steals.

Sheldon's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for West Linn, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-7.

As of now, neither Sheldon nor West Linn have any future games scheduled.
