Baseball Recap: East Lee County Takes a Loss

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, East Lee County was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They lost 12-2 to the Immokalee Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 back in March.

East Lee County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Massiah Agosto, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Damian Farmer also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

East Lee County's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Immokalee, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-10.

East Lee County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-2 defeat against Golden Gate on the 14th. As for Immokalee, they will head out on the road to face off against Ida Baker at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
