Volleyball Recap: Covenant Christian Academy Takes a Loss

If Covenant Christian Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Forman on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars fell 3-1 to the Christian Heritage Kingsmen on Saturday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 24-26, 25-16, 25-22.

Leanna Rothier paced Covenant Christian Academy's offense, picking up 15 kills. Rothier got some help from Grace Motroni and her 23 assists. Rothier was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Covenant Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Covenant Christian Academy will venture away from home to face off against Newman at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Christian Heritage, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Forman at 5:00 p.m. on the 17th.
