Baseball Recap: Park School Drops Highest Score of Season Against Sts. Peter & Paul

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Park School). They were the clear victors by a 13-7 margin over the Sts. Peter & Paul Sabres on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Bruins, who have now won three games in a row.

Noah Tomasino made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up three earned runs but no hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jack Rogers, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Andrew Moore also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Park School hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive matches.

Park School's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Sts. Peter & Paul, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Park School does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sts. Peter & Paul, they will take on Holly Grove Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
