Soccer Recap: Peachtree Ridge Takes a Loss

Peachtree Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Duluth Wildcats who were credited with the win. The Duluth Wildcats got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Peachtree Ridge Lions' three. While losing is never fun, Peachtree Ridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 296th, while Duluth are ranked 146th).

Peachtree Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Duluth, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-6.

Peachtree Ridge and Duluth will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Lions see the pitch they'll take on Northview at 5:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for Duluth, their break will end when they face Centennial at 5:30 p.m. on the 15th.
