The Fort Walton Beach Vikings scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They snuck past Crestview with a 79-74 win. The win was some much needed relief for Fort Walton Beach as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Fort Walton Beach's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Justin Lee led the charge by scoring 19 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lee has scored all season. Another player making a difference was XY Childres, who scored 15 points.
Fort Walton Beach's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-15. As for Crestview, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.
Fort Walton Beach will take on Pensacola Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crestview, they will be playing at home against Navarre at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Navarre has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 844 points over their last 12 games.
