A feisty cat fight will be fought as Daviess County Panthers face off against Edmonson County Wildcats at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Daviess County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57 points per game this season.

Daviess County is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Owensboro Catholic just ended the team's nine-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 58-50 to the Aces.

The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Kennedy Lane and Aubrey Randolph. Randolph had a solid game and dropped a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds. Meanwhile, Lane did her best for the losing side, going 8-for-18 on her way to 21 points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Edmonson County). They took their game two weeks ago with ease, bagging a 74-28 win over Russellville. The victory was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Edmonson County's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-8-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.1 points. As for Daviess County, their loss dropped their record down to 18-12.

Daviess County couldn't quite finish off Edmonson County in their previous meeting back in January and fell 49-47. Can Daviess County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
