Basketball Game Preview: Tonasket Tigers vs. Cascade Kodiaks

The Tonasket Tigers will head out to square off against the Cascade Kodiaks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Tonasket came up short against Brewster and fell 63-51. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Bears are ranked 57th).

Meanwhile, Cascade got the win against Bridgeport on Tuesday by a conclusive 58-32. The Kodiaks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 26 points or more this season.

Cascade is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Tonasket, they dropped their record down to 5-11 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Everything came up roses for Tonasket against Cascade when the teams last played back in December of 2021, as the team secured a 68-27 victory. Will Tonasket repeat their success, or does Cascade have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
